About

Katherine is an artist, photographer, writer, creative arts teacher, and curator. She is a home educating and devoted mother of 3, wife to Suzanna, an unwilling procrastinator, and fierce introvert.

She lives in North Devon, England in a small rural town, where she works as Director of Youth Theatre and outreach at the historic Plough Arts Centre.

In addition to work and creating, she enjoys being bad at gardening, being in nature, drinking coffee with her wife, reading and writing poetry, collecting books she will never read, spending time with her family, keeping chickens, and seeking out the sun.

In her art, and life, she is fascinated by light, and dark, and the bits in between; the glow, the shadows, the embers, the flickers and fragments. She is interested in capturing the surreal moments, the incandescent, the bursts of our psyche, the crumblings of our dreams,  the glimpses of real life fairy tales.

Katherine is passionate about encouraging people to live creatively, abundantly and simply. Katherine believes in embracing nature and the outdoors, holistic health and wellness, freedom in education, and nurturing creativity. All to enrich life and improve well being.

If you want to contact Katherine, she’d love to hear from you, via email, at Katherinejgirouard@gmail.com
